The invention of time travel

Time travel was invented in a lab at the Bauble Coalition on May 1, 2022.

Early attempts

Throughout the existence of Bauble Coalition, Dr. William Pepper and Phineas Bauble worked to find a way to travel through time. Around early 2019, Bauble and Pepper had given up hope. They started to believe that quantum-based time travel could not be achieved. Their physics calculations added up but they could not find a material strong enough to move through time.

Sigmium

Around April 2019, Pepper read a scientific paper, written by his colleague-turned-adversary Sigmund Shirley, detailing a new titanium-like material called "Sigmium." Bauble and Pepper reconstructed their time machine using Sigmium and found that they could age small objects backwards successfully.

Back in time

After preliminary tests, Phineas Bauble decided he would attempt to go back in time alone. Bauble successfully went back in time and interacted with his former self. This event led him to the discovery of Bauble time, a time travel phenomenon.
